About Me!

Hi! I’m Maya Grocholski, and I’m a UX/UI Designer based in the Twin Cities.

I have a unique background in client relations and a degree in English and art history! As an English major, I have always been passionate about high quality, engaging copy. I’m always proofreading for friends and family in my spare time (one of my many “grandma" hobbies). Prior to becoming a designer, I worked to help build my mom’s small business, AMG Photography, and enhance client experience. This position has made me passionate about small businesses! It’s also been a key step on my web design journey. I’ve learned that a good website is crucial to the success of any brand! Not only does it attract clients, but it also establishes credibility and gives a business a personality. When we went through a big website remodel, I learned so much about the importance of good design and SEO. I got to have a hands-on role in the process, which drove me to finally take the plunge into the design world, and I haven’t looked back since!

When I’m not designing, I’m usually working on my previously mentioned "grandma" hobbies – cross stitching, drinking tea, reading, or film photography!
